Apple has released iPadOS 17 beta 3 with exciting new features and design changes. On the Lock Screen, users can choose from stock wallpapers, or choose a photo from their library to set as the background. There is also an all-new motion effect for Live Photos, making the Lock Screen feel more dynamic. Live Activities help users stay on top of things happening in real-time, such as a food order, flight, or score. Widgets on the Lock Screen let users see the weather, time, date, battery levels, or upcoming events at a glance. On the Home Screen, interactive widgets let users play music, turn off the lights, and more.
The Health app has also been revamped with a design optimized for the larger display. Users can review trends and highlights, and use interactive charts. They can also create medication reminders, track their menstrual cycle, and log symptoms right from their iPad. Safari has also received a number of new features, including the ability to create a profile, search with Mac, and launch web apps. Apple has also enhanced private browsing to block known trackers from loading on pages and remove tracking from URLs. Lastly, Passwords now lets users share a set of passwords with trusted contacts.
