- Sticking with a similar design can cut down manufacturing costs and the Phone (2) has 33 LED lighting zones and a dual-lens camera setup.
The British startup Nothing is gearing up to launch its first true flagship, the Phone (2), and YouTuber Marques Brownlee has already had an early hands-on preview of the device. Phone (2) resembles its predecessor, Phone (1), but still has enough notable design features to distinguish it. These features include 33 LED lighting zones, a dual-lens camera setup, and a transparent back. The LED lights on the back are a gimmicky feature and although they may not have much practical use, Nothing is sticking with it to establish an identity. For the most part, the Phone (2) is just like the Phone (1), which can be beneficial to customers since it can cut down on manufacturing costs. The Phone (2) will be officially unveiled on July 11th and fans of the British startup will be able to check out the new handset in the video embedded below.
