Apple TV+ today premieres the new documentary film Stephen Curry: Underrated, which follows the incredible career of the NBA legend. Directed by Peter Nicks, the movie combines cinéma vérité, archive footage, and interviews to tell Curry’s story. The documentary premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and currently has a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The film explores the parallels between Curry’s performance at Davidson College in his youth and the upswing of the Golden State Warriors when Curry joined the team. The movie is being shown in limited theatrical release this week before its worldwide streaming premiere on Apple TV+.
