The Dockcase Smart USB-C Hub 10-in-1 Explorer Edition is the latest from Dockase, an already well-known and respected brand in the tech world. In terms of specs and ports, you get a USB-C port for the host, a 100W PD USB-C port, an HDMI port that supports up to 8k 30FPS, a DisplayPort that supports 4k 120FPS, two USB-A gen 2 ports, one USB-A gen 3.2 port that supports up to 10GBs, an Ethernet port, UHS-II SD & MicroSD card slots, and one USB-C gen 3.2 port that also supports up to 10GBs. The three different video outputs allow for multiple desktop display scenarios, from one 8k 30fps display to one display at 1080p with 240fps, and even a 4k 60fps dual display set.
The showstopping feature of this hub is its 1-inch diagnostic display. Once plugged into power, it will turn on and give you a startup screen, followed by port specs. It displays all the information you would ever need, including the power draw of your iPad or MacBook, accurate data speed readings, and the resolution and fps of your display. There is also a single button that is used to control the display.
The 10-in-1 Smart Hub comes in two different finishes, the glossy silver and matte black. It is currently in the midst of a successful Kickstarter campaign, with early bird-priced smart hubs at $119 set to ship by October 2023.
