Apple is set to close its store at its Infinite Loop campus on January 20, 2024. The store is situated on Apple’s previous campus, which operated as Apple headquarters from 1993 to 2017. The Infinite Loop campus is close to Apple Park, which also runs an Apple Store. This closure is accompanied by another in Hawaii, the Royal Hawaiian Apple Store in Honolulu.
Apple Park opened in 2017 with the Apple Park Visitor Center, which doubles as an Apple Store. Both campuses have operated in tandem along with their respective Apple Stores until now. Employees displaced by this closure are being offered positions at other stores or within the company, such as the Apple Park Visitor Center and Apple Valley Fair.
As Apple fans, we can hope that Apple expands its merchandise offerings at Apple Park Visitors Center to make up for losing the Infinite Loop location. With WWDC coming up, we’ll need more Susan Kare icon shirts.
